The Medical Image and Signal Processing Laboratory (MEDISP) was formed in 1989 by Professor D. Cavouras and was established in 2009 as the official laboratory of the former TEI Department of Medical Instrument Technology. Athens. In 2019 the MEDISP Laboratory was re-established as a statutory laboratory of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of West Attica.
The MEDISP Laboratory specializes in research and training in the following fields:
